Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress is well known for her performance in films and on television since the mid 1980s. Bassett has been awarded a variety of honors, like the Golden Globe Award and 16 NAACP Image Awards. In the film and television industry, she is known for her nominations and awards. Bassett was raised by her aunt in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Her birthplace was and raised in New York New York. Bassett and her sister, at the age of five old, emigrated out of New York and into St. Petersburg to live with the mother of their divorced father. Bassett saw James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play while she was still in highschool and realized that it was acting she would like to be doing. When she graduated at Yale University New Haven Connecticut in the year 1980, she earned a Bachelor's Degree with a major in African American Studies, she continued to pursue a Master's Degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. The year 1997 was the time she married Courtney B. Vance who was also an actor. Qualification: B.A. BA. (Afro-American study) in the year 1980. An M.A. in Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast in one the leading roles of Ramonda in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
