Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in the United States. In the last decade, Angela Evelyn has worked in television and film. She's received several awards, among them sixteen NAACP Image Awards. Bassett is a native of New York New York and was raised by her aunt who lived in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Her mother split with her father at around five. Bassett and her younger sister went into St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett saw James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play when she was at high school and decided that acting is what she would like to be doing. Following her graduation from Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980 with a Bachelor's Degree of African American Studies, she went on to earn the Master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. She met Courtney B. Vance, a fellow actress at Yale and they married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Graduated from Yale School of Drama School with a master's on African American studies, in 1980. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the principal characters in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
