Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress. She is known for her roles in television and in film since the late 1980s she's won numerous awards like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was brought up in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt following her birth in New York New York, is well-known as an actor. Bassett along with her sister and their mother relocated to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was just five. The father of the family had separated from their mom. Bassett was a fan of James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play when she was at high school and decided that it was acting she was looking to pursue. Yale University New Haven Connecticut awarded her a bachelor's degree (1980) with a focus on African American study, and an advanced degree (1983), from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. BA. (Afro-American study) in 1980. The Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the main roles in action adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
