Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actress since the end of the 1980s. Known for her work in film and television since the late 1980s she's been awarded numerous awards such as two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was raised in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an aunt in New York New York. Bassett, her sister and their mother moved to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was just five. The father of the family had split from the mother of their children. Bassett was inspired to become an actress after she saw the stage play Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. When she graduated of Yale University New Haven Connecticut in the year 1980, she earned a Bachelor's Degree with a major in African American Studies, she continued to pursue an MA (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. She was married in 1997. was married Courtney B. Vance who was a fellow actor. Qualification: B.A. The Yale School of Drama granted the degree of Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett back in 1980. She was a student at the school following: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for 7th graders, Azalea Middle School for the 8th and 9th grade as well as Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the major roles in action adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
